Participants should book their flights to Ben Gurion International Airport (near Tel Aviv).

Transfers from Ben Gurion International Airport directly to Ein Gedi and return to Ben Gurion Airport

Participants arriving to Ben Gurion Airport and planning to travel directly to Ein Gedi can reserve a shared transfer from the airport.


Please note that there may be up to two hours waiting time before shared taxis depart from the airport to accommodate passengers arriving on different flights.  Please indicate on the online registration form if you wish to reserve this service for your arrival and/or departure so as to ensure availability. The cost is US$ 60 each way. The service operates 24 hours a day, by pre-arrangement. The drive to/from the Ein Gedi takes about 2½ hours, depending on traffic.

NOTE: If you are arriving in to Israel prior to March 10, 2019 and you will need a transfer to Ein Gedi, you must get to Ben Gurion Airport on your own and follow the same instructions as mentioned above to find your way to the transfer desk. Kindly advise us of the time you plan to arrive to Ben Gurion Airport for the transport.


For your departure, the pre-arranged shared shuttle service will pick you up from Ein Gedi, giving enough time for the 2½ hour journey to the airport and 2½-3 hours additional time needed for the security airport check in.

NOTE: Departures on March 15, 2019 are to Ben Gurion Airport only. Shuttle departure times will be advised to participants on site. If you need to go to other parts of Israel, you are welcome to take this transfer to Ben Gurion Airport, but you must notify us of the time you would like to depart Ein Gedi.


Ein Gedi is located in the Judean Desert, over an hour's drive from Jerusalem.


Public transportation is available (pre-booking preferred) as follows:


From Jerusalem central bus station:

Bus number 486 departing daily at 08:00, 09:00, 09:40, 10:30, 11:30, 12:30, 13:30 and 16:45.

This journey takes approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.


Bus number 444 departing daily at 06:30, 08:30, 10:30, 11:30, 14:00, 15:30 and 17:00.

The journey takes an hour. The bus stops only on the road 90, at the entrance to the kibbutz. Additional 20 mins of walk uphill required to reach the hotel.


From Tel Aviv:

There are no direct buses to Ein Gedi. You will need to take bus number 480 (departing every 20 mins) from Tel Aviv Arlozorov /Savidor Bus Station to Jerusalem Central Bus Station or take bus number 405 (departing every 20 mins) from Tel Aviv central Bus station to Jerusalem Central Bus Station and then connect to the one of the buses mentioned above.
