All day:  Full Day Tour of Jerusalem

Meet in the lobby of the Prima Hotel at 9:00.

Drive to Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of the city. Stop at Mount Zion to visit King David's tomb, Room of the Last Supper and the Dormition Abbey; Enter the old city and walk through the Armenian and Jewish quarter to the recently excavated and restored Cardo, the Roman road.

See the Jewish Western Wall, the Kotel, and continue to the Christian quarter. Walk along the Via Dolorosa and visit the Church of Holy Sepulchre.

Conclude the tour by viewing some of the main sites of the New City by bus. Return to hotel late afternoon.

All day: Full Day Tour

 

Start the day at the Israel Museum with the model of the Holyland and Shrine of the Book.

Drive to Herodium – the fortress and palace that Herod the Great built himself, and the location of his mausoleum.  Walk through remains of the luxurious complex of living quarters, a bathhouse with all of the technology from 2,000 years ago, underground tunnels, and more.

Continue to Bethlehem for an overview of Shepherds' field. Walk through Manger Square, and proceed to visit the Church of Nativity.

Following a lunch typical to the region, relax during the scenic drive to Ein Gedi for registration and opening session.

TOUR C

NAZARETH, SEA OF GALILEE

Depart Ein Gedi for a picturesque drive via the Jordan Rift to the lower Galilee to Nazareth, the town where Jesus spent his childhood. Visit the Church of Annunciation and the Church of Saint Joseph. Continue to the Sea of Galilee, enjoy a boat ride to visit the ancient village of Capernaum, and view the ruins of the ancient synagogue where Jesus taught. Stop for a fish lunch on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. On to Tabgha, the site of the miracle of the fish and the loaves. Then, visit Magdala to see one of the most exciting recent archeological discoveries in Israel, the crossroads of Jewish and Christian history.

Relax on the drive to Jerusalem for overnight.
